Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors are seeking to appoint a full time Legal Assistant, to join our Wills, Trust and Probate department.

We are a long-established firm that has three offices across Yorkshire and a total team of around 65 employees.

This role will be working in a busy team, assisting fee earners with their caseload of Private Client matters including Wills, Trusts and Probate work, whilst having the flexibility to make your mark and progress your career.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience in Private Client, with the ability to handle their own caseload to effectively deliver results to their client.

Applications from those seeking a Training Contract would be welcomed, although please note this will not be available until 12 months service has been completed.

Salary will depend on qualifications & experience.

Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors are seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Wills, Trust and Probate department, based at our Town Centre Office on Moorgate Street in Rotherham.

We are a long-established firm that has three offices across Yorkshire and a total team of around 65 employees. The firm has been undertaking private client work for a number of years. There are currently four fee earners and four support staff in the department.

This role will include; taking instructions and drafting simple Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, taking Probate instructions and the administration of estates from inception to conclusion, including dealing with the ongoing requirements for HMRC Returns and Estate Accounts;

The ideal candidate will have previous expense of handling account matters in a professional, confidential and efficient way, ensuring that expenditure is kept within budget limits as agreed with clients.  The ability to assume responsibility for the financial management of client files in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Firm’s policies.  They will also be required to achieve personal fee earning and chargeable hours targets, and to effectively contribute to departmental performance targets and criteria.

This is a permanent position. The contracted hours are 9am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday.

Salary will depend on qualifications & experience.

Immigration Fee-Earner

Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors is looking to appoint an experienced fee-earner to join their Immigration Department. The candidate would be primarily based in our Head Office in Rotherham, but it will be necessary to work at any of our offices and to visit clients in detention centres, prisons and other locations.

Parker Rhodes Hickmotts is a long-established firm that has three offices across Yorkshire and a total team of around 70 employees. We have been undertaking immigration work for a number of years and we are recommended in both Chambers UK and the Legal 500. Currently we have twelve fee-earners and seven support staff in the department and we undertake immigration work from all of our offices.

The successful applicant should have a decent breadth of experience across all areas of Immigration and Asylum law and casework. Law Society (IAAS) Accreditation at Level 2 (Senior Caseworker) is preferable, although a candidate with Level 1 Accreditation, relevant experience/knowledge and the ability to obtain Level 2 Accreditation quickly will be considered.

We are a long-established firm that has three offices across Yorkshire and a total team of around 65 employees.

This role will be supporting an experienced Senior Child Care Solicitor, working with a high volume of Child Care matters, carrying out general Secretarial/Legal Assistant duties, such as dealing with clients and other professionals on the telephone and in the office, preparing and completing legal documents and bundles for Court, undertaking administrative duties in connection with the Legal Aid Agency, calculating bills, drafting standard documents, etc.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a Family department, ideally with some Child Care experience.

This role will be working for an experienced Senior Child Care Solicitor, working with a high volume of Child Care matters, carrying out general Secretarial duties, including audio and copy typing of correspondence, dealing with clients and other professionals, maintaining an accurate diary for the Line Manager, preparing and completing documentation for Court, maintaining an efficient and effective filing system, undertaking general administration duties as defined by the role.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a Family department, ideally with some Child Care experience.

Residential Conveyancing Assistant

Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors are seeking to appoint a full time Conveyancing Assistant.

We are a long-established firm that has three offices across Yorkshire and a total team of around 65 employees.

The firm has been undertaking conveyancing work for a number of years. There are currently five fee-earners and five support staff in the Residential Conveyancing Department.

This role will include; general admin duties, answering the phone, taking messages, arranging appointments, managing diaries, filing, assisting clients face to face, preparing correspondence, organising incoming and outgoing post, audio typing, undertaking and chasing searches, preparing completion statements, requesting deeds, liaising with all third parties in the chain, completing SDLT forms, using the land registry portal, scheduling and complying with the firms anti-money laundering procedures.

The ideal candidate would ideally have previous experience working within Residential Conveyancing and a Grade C GCSE (or equivalent) or above in both English Language and Maths. He or she should thrive on being organised, have an ability to prioritise tasks accordingly, have an excellent telephone manner and be a team player.

Salary dependent on experience.
