Bio:

Fiona was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1993 after a short career in education, teaching law and liberal studies.

Fiona trained at Parker Rhodes Hickmotts and has happily stayed with the Firm all her legal working life.

Fiona has always specialised in Dispute Resolution and has, over the years, assisted hundreds of clients.  She has always favoured a plain, straightforward approach and strives to demystify the law so that clients represented by her fully understand the legal process.

Fiona became an Equity Partner in Parker Rhodes Hickmotts in 1996 and the Managing Partner in 2004. Under her leadership the Firm has increased its market share and its fee income.

Fiona heads the Dispute Resolution Department and is also the Firm’s Senior and Managing Partner.

Bio:

Julia was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1989 having been a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives since 1980.

Julia trained in Rotherham and Sheffield firms and has enjoyed working in the law for many years and has gained experience in most branches of the law.

More recently Julia has specialised in Litigation. Julia is pleased to have assisted many clients to resolve disputes and obtain resolution without the need to go to Court. Whatever the legal problem, Julia will be happy able to assist.

Rachel has recently joined us at Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors but has worked in residential Conveyancing for 22 years having started as an office junior at a local firm and qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2007.

Rachel currently deals with both Freehold and Leasehold residential sales, purchases and re-mortgages, right to buy, transfer of equity, new builds, buy to let and shared ownership.

Joanne began working in Conveyancing in 1995 as a secretary for a local firm of solicitors before moving to Parker Rhodes Solicitors in 2000.

Joanne attended College 1998 – 2000 and obtained Part I of the CILEX qualification.

Bio:

Rachel worked in residential conveyancing for over 5 years and joined PRH in 2017 as a Conveyancing Advisor.

She studies CILEx part time and has completed level 3 to achieve Associate status in July 2018. Rachel was promoted to Trainee Conveyancing Executive in September 2018 and continues to study via distance learning with an aim of achieving Graduate status.

Rachel currently deals with Freehold residential sales, purchases, remortgages, right to buy and transfer of equity, with the help of the team expanding knowledge into leasehold purchases and new build transactions.

Bio:

Donna started out her working life in the Police Force in the 1980s, before going into Law in early 2000s.

Donna studied Residential Conveyancing and Wills and Probate at the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is a CILEx Associate Member.

She specialises in both freehold and leasehold residential sales, purchases, remortgages, right to buy, transfer of equity, new builds, buy to let.

Donna is also Police Station Accreditation Trained.

She hopes to become a Magistrates when she retires.

In her spare time, Donna is a semi professional dog handler and owns her own kennels.

Aimee studied with The Open University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2019.

Aimee joined Parker Rhodes Hickmotts in 2017 and has been working within the Residential and Commercial department for five years. Aimee is hoping to study further, to qualify as a Licensed Conveyancer in the near future.

Bio:

Erica Hancock is the Head of the Wills, Trusts and Probate Department. She is an associate member of STEP and has worked within the Private Client sector for more than 20 years in both local and national firms.

Previous employment includes running two successful legal service companies offering Wills, Trusts and Probate to the public and through the financial services sector.

Erica is currently studying for her STEP Diploma and specialises in all aspects of Private Client matters.

Shazia has a Law degree from Sheffield Hallam University and embarked on her Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield.

She undertook her legal training at Parker Rhodes, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005.

Shazia is now a Partner at Parker Rhodes Hickmotts, specialising in complex Asylum and Human Rights cases.

Christopher is a specialist in the following areas:

Bio:

Christopher has a degree in Politics & Law from the University of Southampton and a Masters in Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and has specialised in Immigration and Asylum Law ever since.

After working in London for a number of years, Christopher moved to Yorkshire in 2001. He headed the Immigration Team at Parker Rhodes before establishing Cole & Yousaf Solicitors in 2007. Cole & Yousaf then merged with Parker Rhodes Hickmotts in 2012.

Christopher specialises in complex Asylum and Human Rights cases, although he has extensive experience across the whole spectrum of Immigration Law. He is accredited at the highest level of the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme – Immigration Law Advanced. He has been recognised as a Leading Individual in Immigration Law by the Chambers UK Directory for a number of years, having been praised for his “sharp intellect and inspiring level of knowledge and commitment.”

Christopher is a Law Society Council member and also a member of the Law Society’s Immigration Law Committee. He is co-convenor of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association’s Yorkshire & the North East Sub-committee.

Bio:

Claire obtained a BA (Hons) Criminology degree from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005.

After travelling through Australia for six months she began working at Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors in July 2006.

Claire is accredited as a Senior Caseworker and Supervisor under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme.

Claire deals with the whole range of Immigration and Asylum Cases, but has particular interest in Asylum matters and claims involving unaccompanied children.

Bio:

Rebecca joined Hickmotts Solicitors in 2005. Hickmotts Solicitors merged with Parker Rhodes Solicitors in 2009.

Rebecca has worked within the Immigration Department as a secretary since May 2010, leaving in September 2014 before returning to Parker Rhodes Hickmotts as a Casework Assistant in January 2016.

In August 2016 Rebecca became accredited at Level 1 of the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, and in June 2018 became an Immigration Senior Caseworker.

Bio:

Megan joined Parker Rhodes Hickmotts Solicitors in January 2015 working within the Immigration Department as a Secretary. In April 2019 Megan became accredited at Casework Assistant level of the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, and in December 2019 became an Immigration Senior Caseworker.
